KBM Blackjack is a configurable Blackjack practice program with color graphic and sound. The game is configurable to represent whatever Casino, Table, and Pocket Stakes you would like to simulate. After the large splash screen, you will be presented with a table setup dialog. In this window you can set:
• Shoe Size - from 2 to 8 decks (Limited to 2 decks if NOT Registered)
• Table Limits - Min. & Max. bet limits in whole $’s
• Starting Stakes for each of the 3 player seats
• For each of the 3 player seats chose either:
* None - Vacant Seat - no Bets & no Cards dealt
* Good - Your Mac will play this hand with a good strategy.
* Counter - Your Mac will play this hand as a Card Counter
* Live - Any seat set as Live will be dealt, but someone must play the hand with the Menu, Button, or Command Key commands.
Other features of KBM Blackjack:
Barbara, your dealer, will welcome you to the table, and announce your hand total and each action taken (Hit, Stand, Split, etc.).
The cursor will make the appropriate hand motions for a player to signal the dealer for a Hit or Stand. Some Nevada dealers expect these hand signals and are offended if you make a vocal request for a Hit or to Stand.
When the shoe gets down to 40 cards, the “Cut Card” will appear as a black card on the table. When this shows up, the next deal will start with a new shuffle (and a request for compliance with the ShareWare license will show up, if you haven't paid your $15 and entered the correct code yet, and this will happen after every 64 Cards are dealt if not yet registered).
If you are not doing well, and find that you have depleted your funding, you can visit the ATM (Command - A or under the Blackjack Menu). Go ahead, blow your entire retirement fund, it’s only a game!
When the dealer’s show card is an Ace, you are given a few seconds to place an Insurance Bet. That is you bet half the amount of your bet on the hand that the dealer has a Blackjack. If the face down card completes a Blackjack for the dealer, you are paid 2 to 1, this makes up for losing your hand. The Card Counter and Good Player are not programmed to take Insurance, since this is usually considered to be a bad bet.
Standard Casino rules apply:
• Double Down - Double your bet and get only 1 Hit.
• Split Pairs - Split the Pair and place an identical bet on the second hand.
• Split Aces get only 1 card each, no hits.
• 21 on a Split Ace is 21, but Not a Blackjack (4 Cards were taken).
When you pay the $15 ShareWare License Fee, I will E-Mail or Fax the password code to you, if you provide a FAX Number or E-Mail Address. I will also send, via 1st. Class Mail, a detailed Mini-Manual, with full instructions and explanations of the Strategies programed in for the Good Player and Card Counter Mac Players.
There is a Menu selection under "Shareware" on the Menu Bar which will let you lock an unlocked copy of this program for further distrubution.
